Deante’ Gray, is a Filmmaker from Houston, Tx. He's made a variety of films ranging from, Drama and Sci-fi to Comedy. His recent short film Loving Byron is currently being submitted to various film festivals for possible recognition.
After completing his undergrad in film at Texas Christian University, Deante’ went on to attend the prestigious filmmaking master’s program at the New York Film Academy (CA) where he graduated with honors. Deante’ specializes in exploring the various human conditions that real life people face in a narrative format. With a focus in African American storytelling, Deante’s unique perspective on life started young in inner city Houston, Texas. His love of storytelling came from reading Sci-fi books as youth and watching Aaron McGruder’s The Boondocks.
Deante’ also spent a year playing football professionally for the Houston Texans. With his professional career cut short by injuries Deante’ to a likening to writing poetry, photography traveling and eventually starting his own podcast titled “The Gray Area Podcast.”, before moving to LA.
Currently, Deante’ is in the pre-production stages of writing his first feature about his home town titled Be Someone. And also, is gearing up to write his first Sci-Fi novel, titled Black Butterfly.
